School of the Bible

Each Sunday morning beginning at 9:30, children and adults of all ages meet in various formats for fellowship, prayer and Bible Study. This time each week is known as the School of the Bible. The School of the Bible is a wonderful way to not only get solid Biblical insight from great teachers, but it also provides an opportunity to meet other Chrisitans on a smaller scale. Whether you are a teenager, single adult or a married couple with children, you can be assured that there's a group for you, with people who are in a similar stage in life.

"families on the rock!" 
is a class that has been developed to meet the needs of married couples in their 30's and 40's with elementary and middle school aged children. we all have a common goal of building a christian foundation in our homes and "Families on the rock!" wants to help you accomplish that. we meet in room 269 every sunday at 930. single parents are welcome! for more information please contact Jim Pollard At jimbpoll@gmail.com

"A to Z"   is a class of individuals and couples from all walks and stages of life who are studying the parables of the Bible. Led by Randy and Ellen DiGirolamo, this diverse group of people share coffee and donuts each Sunday morning in room 116, followed by an in-depth study of God's Word. Come check it out! You'll be guaranteed to be challeneged, loved and cared for by people who sincerely love God, love life, and love others. "BYKOTA" comes from the verse in Ephesians, "Be Ye Kind One To Another." This group of senior adults gathers every Sunday morning in the chapel and is led by ron chaplin. This spring they'll be studying truths from the books of Peter, Jude and Numbers. If you are a senior adult and seeking to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible while fellowshipping with other senior adults, this class is for you! "Christianity Today" is a Bible class that meets in room 202 on Sunday mornings at 9:30. They are currently studying principles out of 1 Peter. This is a class of men and women, couples and inviduals with a common goal of learning from the powerful Word of God.  Taught by taylor dabbs, this class will encourage and motivate you in your personal walk with christ. 
 
 
"The experience"is a class specifically designed for  young adults who are from college age or single adults in their  20's who are intentional about making God a priority in their lives. This group meets at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday morning in room 272 and enjoys a delicious assortment of breakfast food and Starbucks coffee. "Intercessors" is a group that meets with the purpose of learning and practicing the gifts of praise and intercessory prayer. Led by one of First Assembly's prayer leaders, Kathy Cobb, you'll find the teaching to be applicable and insightful. If you have a desire to learn more about intercessory prayer or have a gift in that area, this class is for you. New faces always welcome! "Koinonia," the Greek word for brotherly love, is the largest class at First Assembly and is taught by our Senior Pastor, Dr. Tom Lindberg. You'll be blessed by Pastor's excellent and informative teaching, while enjoying fellowship with individuals of various ages and backgrounds. The current focus of this class is centered around sharing God's love naturally. Meets in the First Assembly Dining Hall at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. "Living Single" is a small-group-format class that meets in room 241 every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. If you are a single adult who is 30+ and looking for friendships with others in your stage of life, this group is for you. With dynamic leadership, powerful times of prayer and discussion, and single adults who are full of life and enthusiasm, this is a class you won't want to miss. "Soul Fuel" is something we all strive for, isn't it? And it just so happens to be the name of a class that meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in room 263 to uncover truths from God's Word that will help us live a victorious Christian life. In other words, if you are wondering how to walk in the abundant life Christ has promised to his children, this class may be right up your alley. "Young Couples" class is a group of married couples in their 20's and 30's who are excited about doing life together, and who are all striving to gain a deeper understanding of the character of Christ, while strengthening their marriage. This class shares breakfast every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in room 258, and is followed by a prayer and discussion time. They also have social events on a monthly basis.
