Jason Sensat - Children's Family Pastor Being the son of a Navy man, Jason Sensat lived all around the world and settled with his family in the Memphis area in 1989. He received the call into the ministry while attending Louisiana State University and began serving the youth of his Millington, TN church not long after that. Jason has been ministering in the West Tennessee area for more than 15 years now both full-time and part-time. He has served as Youth Pastor, College and Career Pastor, Christian Education Director and Associate Pastor before coming here to First Assembly.
Outside of the church, for 8 years he worked at the world famous Peabody hotel in downtown Memphis, serving as Duckmaster for 4 1/2 of those. During that time he had the opportunity to meet and interact with people from all over the world and visit with hundreds upon thousands of children from the Shelby County area. It was here that he began to feel the burden for reaching these kids with more than just a history lesson.
He and his wife Patty have taken on the role as Children's Family Pastor to teach our children that God loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives. They are heading up all ministries related to children up to 7th grade and their families. Jason and Patty are conducting our JAMClub Children's Church programs on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights and are overseeing all of the activities related to kids through out the church.
Jason and Patty were married in 1999 and have a daughter, Shelby, and a son, Carter, and one son, Jason Zachary, who is waiting to see them in Heaven. They are looking forward to that joyful reunion and in the meantime are more than happy to serve your family's needs in any way they can.
